John Burrison Georgia folklore oral history recordings, 1966-2010 (MSS 1003)
The Georgia Folklore Archives was established in 1966 by Dr. John Burrison at Georgia State University. By 2010, it consisted of approximately 2,000 field-based research projects by his folklore students, documenting the full range of folk-cultural expression in Georgia and neighboring states: oral, musical, customary, and material traditions as well as rural-life reminiscences.
The John Burrison Georgia folklore oral history and music recordings contain over 2,000 recordings, 104 of which are digitized and available on this database.
