John Clark McCall photographs of the Roxy Theatre, circa 1950-1972 (VIS 154)
The photographs in this collection depict the Roxy Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, which was opened in 1926 by R.E. Hall & Company on 210 Peachtree Street. Included are images of the first anniversary program edition of 1927, interior photographs of the pipe organ chamber, balcony, and gallery area, and exterior photographs of the Peachtree Street entrance. The demolition of the theatre is also shown through a photograph taken immediately after the wrecking period in August of 1972.
