Notes
The Ramblin' Raft Race was an annual social and sporting event that occurred on the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta, Georgia from 1969 to 1980, usually around Memorial Day. The race was created and managed by Larry Patrick, a graduate of Georgia Tech. Over the years, the race grew in size and in 1978 was certified by Guinness as the largest sporting event in history, with 58,000 participants.
