James Henry (1905-1982) and Jerry Maud Ross (1905-1991) were two of the first residents of Atlanta, Georgia's public housing system. They lived in Herndon Homes, John Hope Homes, and University Homes. A deeply religious couple, they were members of St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church throughout their adult lives. They had four children.
