Notes
Devereaux Jarrett’s plantation in Stephens County, Georgia was known as Traveler’s Rest because of the accommodations provided to people traveling through the area. In 1940 the Toccoa chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution placed a historic marker on the sight. Traveler’s Rest became recognized as a National Historic Landmark in 1966.
