William Anderson Alexander (1889-1950) graduated from Georgia Tech in 1912, with a B. S. degree in Civil Engineering. After graduation, he became an assistant football coach under John Heisman. He was head coach of the football team from 1920-1944. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1950.
