Film originally captured on individual 35 mm cellulose nitrate film and transferred to 35 mm B&W optical liquid gate fine grain master. An H264 .mov was created from the duplicate and an mp4 derivative created from the digital master.

James Richardson Jones was a cinematographer and journalist who was commissioned by the Atlanta Life Insurance Company to create a thirty-minute newsreel as an advertisement for the company. His film, Parade of Progress of Colored Atlanta debuted in Atlanta in 1939.
